The publication of the Welsh Assembly Government's Planning Policy Wales (1) document on 16 April marks a key stage in the development of distinctive planning policy for Wales. It is firmly based on sustainable development principles and provides a comprehensive national policy context for planning in Wales.
The National Assembly of Wales has been in existence for only three years, but its impact is already apparent.
