KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City presents romantic crooner Engelbert Humperdinck at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, in the Grand Pavilion.

Some fans may not realize there was actually another Engelbert Humperdinck, a 19th Century German composer who also penned the fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel. Humperdinck was the name music manager Gordon Mills suggested in 1966 for youthful singer Arnold George Dorsey, thinking it would make him stand out.
