NEW YORK - In the midst of one of the toughest retail periods in years, the fall wool-coat season is unfolding as a time of revival, sparked by updated styles and cooler September temperatures.
One year after stores and vendors said they experienced their worst season for the category in 25 years, they are reporting strong third-quarter gains and increased interest in updated styles - specifically swing coats - as well as traditional looks.
