Article: Asylum seekers have more to offer at home; Pathetic invasion of an artist's life.

AS SOMEONE who has recently visited Albania, I would suggest that if Home Office Minister Beverley Hughes really wants asylum seekers to 'use their time constructively' then the advice to them should be to go home, where their efforts are needed.

This is not intended as a racist statement, but one which has, in my view, a solid financial foundation.

Economic migrancy (which is what 'asylum seeking' is all about) is robbing many of the poorest nations of their bloodstock. Those leaving tend to be the youngest.

Those left behind become residents of an increasingly poorer nation.
