PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local MINISTRY OF ELECTRICITY & WATER recently awarded France-based NEXANS a contract to install several high voltage power lines. According to the terms of the award, the French company will be responsible for the supply and installation of several 300 Kv power cable connections in the country.

The lines in question are to be installed in Kuwait City between the Salmieh X substation and six other principal substations. The cost to complete the project has been pegged at $47,000,000. And, operational start-up is scheduled in about 22 months.
