Eddie Palmieri knows he's going to excite you. He's got excitement down to a science.
"When La Perfecta started to record in 1961," the Latin jazz pianist says of his legendary first band, "I analyzed the music from Cuba. I intuitively learned how it would excite you. Then I learned it scientifically.
