Jul. 31--AUSTIN, Texas--Looking for a very cheap tuxedo? Thanks to the Texas Legislature, you can buy one tax-free this weekend.
The same goes for sneakers, diapers, cowboy boots and choir robes.
But just don't try to buy tax-free school supplies. The state's fourth annual sales tax holiday -- originally designed to help parents send kids back to school -- doesn't cover pens, pencils or notebooks.
And Texas Comptroller Carole Keeton Rylander said it's time for that to change.
