ABIX via COMTEX) -- Australian rail giant Pacific National has lauded an Australian Government plan to invest $A870m in the New South Wales rail network. However, Pacific National's commercial general manager, Robert Jeremy, has urged the government to reveal more details about the plan. A government spokesman has refused to say how the $A870m will be split between federal and state governments and the private sector. Market analysts have said that funding to improve track on Australia's east coast is critical to justify the massive investment Patrick Corporation and Toll Holdings have made in Pacific National.
