In a world of daylight-saving time, all-night television and working parents who can't start dinner until after 6 p.m., shifting kids from late-night summer fun to an early-to-bed, back-to-school routine is a major challenge.
Just ask Patti Chadwick. The Aurora mother of six is about to begin the process of sending her three older children - Tiffany, 17; Michael, 13; and Brittany, 12 - to bed a little earlier every night so that by the time school starts Aug. 22, they'll be used to lights out by 10.
Many children will have trouble resuming their school-year sleep schedules when school starts. ...
