Contrary to its title, "Armadillo," premiering tonight at 9 on A & E, is not a sprawling western about the hard-shelled animal familiar to Texas.
Lorimer Black (James Frain) is as mysterious and misleading as the movie's title. Working as a loss adjuster, Lorimer must reduce insurance claims by exposing fraud or other criminal behavior. But as the three-hour movie unfolds, it becomes clear that this protagonist may be perpetrating an even bigger deception than those he investigates.
