ST ASAPH face a crucial home showdown with Halkyn today which could decide their fate in the Readers Romida North Wales League Premier Division.
The Saints have slipped to third from bottom after five consecutive defeats and Halkyn are 18 points below them.
``This is a massive game for both clubs and we really must halt our slide towards relegation,'' said skipper Gareth Ryan, who is unavailable. ``It's very unfortunate that I won't be there, but Jeff Hodgkinson will be acting captain and is a very capable person to take charge in such circumstances.''
