Aug. 4--Hey, thought this would interest you. Pass it on: E-mail is a lightning-fast source of vast amounts of information -- some of it absolute bunk.
That's the message from UC Davis Medical Center, which found its own prestigious name attached to a questionable e-mail last week. The e-mail, which already has been exposed by a half-dozen Internet hoax-busters, claims that microwaved plastic wrap can give you cancer.
UC researchers have not made that connection and are baffled by the reference to their institution. But there it is, right at the top of the ...
