The village of West Dundee won a battle Thursday morning in its ongoing fight with the city of Elgin over some undeveloped land between the two communities.
The Northern Illinois Planning Commission narrowly rejected Elgin's request to change planning documents that say the land in question should eventually become part of West Dundee.
