THERE'S suddenly a point in the year when it's summer.
The sun might have been beating down for months, or much more likely, it's been invisible behind grey clouds day after day.
But when the daisies come into full flower, even if the weather's still terrible, there's a change.
Everyone knows the ordinary white daisies popping up in the grass. They're weeds, of course, and lawn fanatics loathe them. But for me, they are some of the most endearing flowers around.
