SENATE PASSES APPROPRIATIONS BILL/DEFEATS B-2 TERMINATION
The Senate late Monday passed a defense appropriation bill worth $268.76 billion in budget authority (BA) and $277.59 billion in outlays by a 79-16 vote, while narrowly defeating a B-2 bomber termination amendment that would have stopped production of the aircraft at six, but provided R&D funding.
Including Department of Energy and military construction appropriations, which were approved earlier in the year, the topline would be $289 billion in BA and $297 billion in outlays.
