With the start of oil transmission to the first terminal from Lanzhou-Chengdu-Chongqing Oil Pipeline on July 6, Beitan Oil Depot located in Lanzhou, a major industrial city of Northwest China on the bank of the Yellow River, was in great excitement. The oil transmission indicates the start of trial operation of the oil pipeline after efforts in the construction for three years and a half and also the attainment of CNPC preset target.
The oil pipeline started construction on Dec. 18, 1998. It is one of the 10 major projects in China west development. It begins at Beitan Oil Depot in Lanzhou, passes Gansu, Shaanxi and Sichuan and ends at Funiuxi of Chongqing with a ...
