2002 AUG 14 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Texas Biotechnology Corp. (TXBI) announced that it had achieved a milestone in its collaboration with Schering-Plough Corp. (SGP) to discover and develop VLA-4 antagonist drugs to treat asthma.
The research milestone, corresponding to nomination of the initial candidate for Schering-Plough's further development, triggered an undisclosed milestone payment by Schering-Plough.
Texas Biotechnology also announced that Schering-Plough's support of the research collaboration was being extended to a third year through June 30, 2003.
