The nation is preparing to mark the dark anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the East Coast, and the Barrington area's own participation in these remembrances will not be slight or insignificant.
Lisa Beamer, the widow of the inspirational Todd Beamer who made the phrase "Let's roll!" a motto of defiance for a country unwilling to play the role of a victim, will appear Aug. 24 and 25 at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington.
