Liverpool High School head swim coach Jeffrey Van Buren has been charged with inappropriately touching one of his team members.
Van Buren, 34, of 1354 River Bend Drive, Lysander, was given an appearance ticket July 17 charging him with forcible touching, a misdemeanor. One of his former swimmers, now 21, told Onondaga County sheriff's detectives that the coach touched him several times between 1995 and 2002 - including times while he was on the school team.
The Post-Standard does not identify victims or alleged victims of sexual abuse.
