EMI Cuts Back Ag Sales Data, But...

THE EQUIPMENT Manufacturers Institute has a new policy with regard to public disclosure of its retail sales data reporting programs. Starting with the January flash report, the only numbers to be made available to other than reporting, participating companies will be:

Farm wheel tractors: Two-wheel-drive units of under 40 hp, from 40 to 99 hp and 100 hp and over; four-wheel-drive units.

Self-propelled combines.

Gone from the public flash report will be sales data on rectangular balers, forage harvesters and mower-conditioners.
