China Unicom acquires 170,000 CDMA handsets worth USD 74.75 mln from Unicom Guomai

Shanghai. May 13. INTERFAX-CHINA - Hong Kong-listed China Unicom (HK), the listing arm of China's second largest telecom carrier China Unicom, announced to Interfax that its parent China Unicom has entered into an agreement with its indirectly owned subsidiary Unicom Guomai Communications Co., for the sale of CDMA mobile phones. Under the agreement, Guomai agreed to sell 170,000 CDMA mobile phones to China Unicom for a maximum amount of RMB 619 mln (USD 74.75 mln).
