USI plans second production plant in mainland China to land more notebook motherboard orders
Shanghai. May 14. INTERFAX-CHINA - Taiwan's Universal Scientific Industrial (USI), a leading provider of end-to-end service from product plan to after-sale service in EMS industry, is planning to set up a new factory in mainland China in a bid to land more laptop PC motherboard orders. Size of the investment and the location of the plant are yet to be decided.
The USI intends to locate the new plant in or near Shanghai, as the greater Shanghai region is closer to its customers and the company can enjoy the cluster advantage provided by neighboring laptop PC ...
