U.S. Embassy in Kyiv likely to have immigration department
Kyiv, June 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukraine and the U.S. spoke on possible opening of an immigration department at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv to issue immigration visas to Ukrainians, particularly to kids adopted by Americans and to those marrying U.S. citizens.
As Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Serhiy Borodenkov told a briefing on Tuesday, this was a subject for discussion during the visit to Ukraine of U.S. Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs Mary Ryan on June 11-14.
