MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University veterinarians have confirmed that a horse brought in to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital July 30 has West Nile Virus, but is likely to recover.
Tests done at the College of Veterinary Medicine indicate that the virus is present in the horse, which was referred to K-State by a Nebraska veterinarian.
