When I was very young, I moved from the harsh and beautiful region of Cordoba, in the south of Spain where I was born, to live with my grandparents in Madrid.
One of my earliest memories is of the smell of hot chocolate and cinnamon on Sundays. My grandmother would be stirring a huge pot of it, and the smell would waft through the house. Having grown up in Spain, I find many of my childhood memories are bound up with taste and smell.
