Pakistani police announced on 4 August the surrender of Abdul Khaliq Sarkikhel Wazir, the owner of a safe house in the semi-autonomous tribal region of South Waziristan where Al-Qaeda suspects were given shelter, Islamabad's English-language daily "The News" reported on 4 August.
