The Terminology Committee, as an academic body, is considering focusing its activities for the period 2002-2004 as follows:
1. A search for the actual frequency of and factors related to the use of NANDA nursing diagnoses in Japan. From November 1, 2001, to January 31, 2002, we conducted a study of 865 nurses working in 489 hospitals with over 300 beds, regardless of whether or not NANDA nursing diagnoses were officially being used.
