ABIX via COMTEX) -- The Australian budget airline, Virgin Blue, will remain at the domestic express terminal in Sydney. The airline's CEO, Brett Godfrey, said that Virgin was not prepared to pay vast sums of money to move into the terminal vacated by the failed airline, Ansett Australia. To do so would mean that Virgin would have to increase fares to pay the high cost of rent. According to the Patrick Corporation CEO, Chris Corrigan, Macquarie Bank paid too much for Sydney Airports Corporation and had since reconsidered an agreement with Virgin for cost-efficient access to the Ansett terminal. Patrick owns 50% of Virgin Blue.
