Some people sleep when they're not working. Others read. Russ Leno likes to carve.
Leno, who makes his home in Everett, holds a record in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest sand castle ever built. He plans to mail in an entry to beat his own record with a 22.87-mile long sand castle he sculpted recently with friends. He and his wife, Pam, also carved the largest pumpkin recorded in the book.
He has carved ice sculptures in competitions in Europe. He was in People magazine, has molded Spain with Jay Leno and carved pumpkins with Martha Stewart.
