Aug. 15--The maker of Tastykakes -- which rank with soft pretzels and hoagies as quintessential Philadelphia food -- has named Charles P. Pizzi as president and chief executive officer.
Tasty Baking Co. directors said they picked Pizzi, who has been president of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce since 1989, after an 18-month national search failed to turn up someone who would fit well with the Philadelphia company.
