IN THE past 25 years, hundreds of princes and princesses, astronauts and biologists, kings, poets, politicians, bishops and mullahs, have died. We can't remember many of their names. But today the whole world will remember Elvis Presley, from the dust-bowls to the shining towers of commerce.
