Bet you've seen these big fat bees bumbling about. They're one of the first kinds of bees out in the spring, and they buzz around all summer and into early fall. Bumble bees get up earlier (sometimes before dawn) and stay up later than honey bees. They're also more peaceful and almost never sting (unless you bother their nest).
