SAVAGERY like this makes even the Lebanese flinch. At dawn on October 20th masked gunmen broke into the East Beirut flat of Dany Chamoun, a Christian politician, and murdered him, his wife, and their two sons, aged six and seven. A baby daughter escaped. The killers probably did not see her.
