A reader recently sought out a vintage sour cream cookie recipe; as luck would have it, I have two.
Actually, my mom had two. Mom, you see, collected recipes. Books of them. Boxes of them. She was, you might say, a recipe saver -- which was so unlike most things she came across. But her general theory of "use it or lose it" didn't apply to her recipes.
The first recipe, tried again and again, came from a friend in Freeport, Ill. It is a drop cookie that's quick and easy to make.
