Aug. 18--Fannie Mae, the giant company behind one in every five American mortgages, says it plans to inject $23 billion into Metroplex housing deals that benefit minorities, senior citizens and disabled people.
Fannie Mae, which buys and sells mortgages to promote home ownership for low- and middle-income people, says it plans to invest the money during the next five years.
The company says it believes that it can help 230,000 families in Tarrant, Dallas, Denton and Collin counties, particularly in poor neighborhoods such as Fort Worth's ...
