VICTORIA'S SECRET CATALOG UNIT HIKES LIMITED'S QUARTER NET
COLUMBUS, Ohio (FNS) -- Paced by strong gains at its Victoria's Secret catalog division, The Limited, Inc., reported profits in the first quarter ended May 5 climbed 37.9 percent on a 14.8 percent sales increase.
For the quarter, The Limited's earnings rose to $62,315,000, or 34 cents a share, from $45,189,000, or 25 cents. Sales were $1,107,345,000, up from $964,617,000.
The Limited does not break out operating profits for its divisions. However, Leslie H. Wexner, chairman and chief executive officer, said in a statement that the Victoria's Secret catalog produced the highest earnings as ...
