CORRECTION/date 08-20-2002: To correct a story in Monday' editions, Metra's renovation of its National Street station in Elgin is estimated to cost $6.6 million.

Metra reports several new train stations are nearing completion.
On the Milwaukee West line, two new shelters are installed and usable at Medinah, with the platform work still ongoing. A new station at Roselle should be ready by the end of September.
The renovated and expanded Barrington station on the Union Pacific line should be finished by the end of December. The waiting room will grow by more than 800 feet and will ...
