Vons, a division of Safeway Inc., today announced that this week's launch in San Diego of Vons.com, its new online grocery ordering and delivery service, is the strongest to date among Safeway's existing home delivery services.
On Monday, Vons.com began in-home deliveries in 65 ZIP Code areas throughout the San Diego market. It marked the introduction of a new option for area grocery shoppers turning to the Internet instead of driving to the store.
