RIVERSIDE, Calif., Aug. 21 (AScribe Newswire) -- A University of California, Riverside economics professor, Richard Sutch, will be the first American elected as president of the International Economic History Association, announced recently at the 13th World Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
"Short of the Nobel Prize," Sutch said, "this is the highest honor an economic historian can receive." He is a Distinguished Professor of Economics at UC Riverside, and his American economics research spans a wide history.
