In just three years, Naked Fish has grown from one to nine restaurants in Greater Boston. It had planned by now to have another three to four restaurants open in the Philadelphia market, but the company was forced to push back plans when the effects of Sept. 11 and the recession took a bite out of sales and capital financing became tight.
Sales have picked up since early 2002, says Kim Giguere, chief of marketing, and Naked Fish still has its eye on a long-term goal of national expansion over the next three to five years, optimistically, heading after Philadelphia into other East Coast markets like Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, New Jersey and New York.
