Rumors keep simmering, but Collins says it won't sell Kentucky Fried Chicken stores
Analysts continue to speculate that West Los Angeles-based Collins Foods International will sell 209 of its 271 Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants to PepsiCo Inc.
"There are ongoing negotiations with Pepsi regarding the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchises," said Anton Brenner, an analyst with New York-based Altman Brenner Wasserman & Co. and one of three analysts contacted by the Business Journal who said that PepsiCo is involved in talks to buy Collins' Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets.
