Aug. 23--Two Florida-based charities accused of fraudulently raising nearly $1 million dollars in New Jersey, supposedly for widows of firefighters and police officers, have been permanently barred from soliciting in the state.
The charities, New Jersey Firefighters Foundation Inc. and the New Jersey Police Foundation Inc., along with their top executives, Estel and Etha Senn, agreed to leave the state at once to settle charity fraud charges, the Attorney General's Office announced Thursday.
