As a kick returner, Fresno State's Bernard Berrian is the college football equivalent of San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds for opposing special teams coaches. Do you pitch around him? Or kick to him? Or do you take the bat and ball out of his hands?
University of Wisconsin assistant coach Brian Murphy is well aware of Berrian's skills. A year ago, Berrian showed that he can beat you with one swing, or return, by sprinting 96 yards for a touchdown with the second half kickoff against the Badgers.
"It was the biggest hole I've ever seen," Berrian exclaimed afterward. "All I had to do was run. It was all blocking."
