AIG Threatens To Sue Public Citizen
WASHINGTON--Public Citizen has retracted its charge that Aetna Life & Casualty is "potentially at risk" of financial problems if there is a severe economic downturn.
At the same time, American International Group demanded a similar retraction from the Washington, D.C.-based consumer group.
During a press conference in New York City, AIG Chairman Maurice R. Greenberg warned Public Citizen that it could face a lawsuit if it did not retract its statements about his carrier.
