Outlook Positive for Gas Supply, Long-Term Price, Technology Issues
THERE ARE two main issues in the gas supply outlook. First, the short-term matter of deliverability and second, the longer-term controversy over drilling and reserve statistics.
The basic questions here are simple. Is the supply of gas going to run short at some point because demand skyrockets temporarily as a result of either very hot or very cold weather? Or supply be constrained by wellhead freeze-ups or a transportation interruption?
The answer to both is yes. So what?
