Aug. 26--GREAT PLAINS TEAMS UP WITH NEW MEXICO AIRLINE: Great Plains Airlines announced Monday expanded service to New Mexico as a result of an agreement with Rio Grande Air, which becomes the first regional carrier to join the Tulsa-based company as a code-share partner.

Rio Grande Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Edelweiss Holdings Inc., offers service on about 18 flights daily to three cities in New Mexico -- Albuquerque, Taos and Alamogordo -- and Durango, Colo.

Beginning Sept. 15, all Rio Grande Air flights will be operated as Great Plains Connection.
