THE days of households that required a whole army of servants to run them in Gosford Park style are long gone but there is still a demand for servants in households in London and around the country.
Kensington-based agency Mrs Hunt's has been supplying domestic staff for more than a century, but needless to say the market has changed considerably over that time.
"These days there is less demand for traditional maids, and a cook, for example, will also act as a housekeeper and do housework and perhaps go shopping for food," says Stephen Dehn, a partner at Mrs Hunt's.
