With 442 seats, there's a certain limit on big-name acts the Prairie Center for the Arts can attract. Unless, of course, organizers want to charge $400 a head.
But as the 2002-2003 season begins, organizers boast of diverse - and well-known - acts they've secured to play at the Schaumburg theater, and at prices more people can afford to pay.
Writer and actor Spalding Gray, the Cab Calloway Orchestra, classical guitarist Christopher Parkening and Chicago violinist Rachel Barton are just some of the better-known artists coming this fall and next spring.
