HARRISBURG, Pa. -- As children head back to school, Gov. Mark Schweiker today reminded parents and caregivers that free health insurance is available for children through CHIP, Pennsylvania's landmark Children's Health Insurance Program.

"Pennsylvania is a leader when it comes to protecting our children's health, and I want remind everyone that help is available for those without health insurance," Gov. Schweiker said. "Kids must be healthy to learn. Today, all it takes is a phone call to 1-800-986-KIDS to keep our kids healthy and on track for success."
