Tire flatspotting: Owners of high-end automobiles equipped with low-profile tires may be familiar with flatspotting," a condition where tires develop flat spots when the vehicle is parked for an extended length of time. Car weight and ambient temperature also are factors. Flatspotting can be temporary--self-correcting when the vehicle is driven--or permanent. If the latter, tire replacement is required.
